Who We Are

Thru out the years members of the Independence RACES have volunteered their time in help running and managing different functions within the City’s EOC. These members work side by side with the Emergency Preparedness Manager and make the decisions when the Emergency Preparedness Manager is away. Then in November of 2008, The EOC Management Team was formed.

The EOC Management team is comprised of volunteer’s from Independence Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (RACES), Civil Air Patrol (CAP), and Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT). These volunteer’s have gone thru and continue specialize group training from the City’s Emergency Preparedness Manager.
