How We Help

We have extensive combined aerial and ground expertise and resources that allow us to prepare for, manage, staff and mitigate all levels of emergencies and disasters.

Our primary purpose is to augment the department of Emergency Preparedness for the City of Independence and for Eastern Jackson County in the protection of lives and property and safeguarding of resources, by adding depth to the department though a team of trained volunteers. Our team and resources work 24/7 to offer as much warning, preparedness and training as possible to prevent disasters. In the event of a natural or manmade emergency or disaster, we are able to respond at a moments notice.

We work with local, state, national and military levels of government. We offer public and professional training to government levels, local and state communities, schools and public watch groups.

We monitor, warn and prepare for severe weather, floods, tornadoes, lightning, etc. We monitor electronically and physically. In the event of minor or serious damage from severe weather, we manage, staff, and assist in disaster relief efforts.
